Hi-Tec Systems, Inc. is helping the U.S. Government meet it Aviation Safety objectives by supporting the FAA. Our support extends from the William J. Hughes Technical Center, to FAA headquarters and numerous FAA field sites. We provide support for Airports, Aviation Safety and Air Traffic Management.

For Airports, we provide the research staff for Airport pavement and visual guidance systems. We work closely with the Federal Aviation Administration on Airport Safety Research and Development projects performing research, design, and testing of airport visual guidance systems and components. Our extensive knowledge of the airport environment allows us to effectively determine the best possible solutions and implementation of novel visual guidance systems. The support includes overall test management, conduct/oversight and evaluation of specific tests, and preparation of test assessment reports for informal and formal tests, proof-of-concept testing, integration, rapid prototype development and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) tests.

For Aviation Safety, we implement policy and monitor compliance for airmen; aircraft manufacturers, repair/maintenance facilities, air schools; air operators, and air agencies. Hi-Tec developed and tested the risk management / risk assessment tools and conducts the analysis for aircraft designers, aircraft manufacturers and aircraft operators. We are experienced in the support and are proficient in the Title XIV, Code of Federal Regulations (14CFR) Parts 1 through 199. Our experience prevails on Parts 21, 23, 25, 91, 121, 135 and 1145.

We provide the IT support for that allows the FAA to conduct activities for the investigation of aviation accidents and incidents. We design and develop research products to provide decision support systems tools and provide the safety risk analysis, and research efforts for Unmanned Air Systems operating in the National Airspace System (NAS) and NextGen environment.

For Air Traffic Management, we support En-Route, Terminal and Tech Ops systems by providing the cradle to grave tasks, from developing and evaluating future systems concepts, acquisition, simulation, T&E, deployment, training and second level maintenance. The National AirSpace System (NAS) is the air traffic controller's tool that enables the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to fulfill its mission to provide safe and efficient use of national airspace. The NAS is comprised of radar target, weather detection, flight data and supporting processing systems, air traffic processing and display systems within the EnRoute, Oceanic, Flight Service and Terminal Air Traffic Control environments, communications systems, flight plan data information systems, and NAS maintenance and support systems. Hi-Tec performs second-level maintenance engineering upon many of these NAS systems/subsystems. This support includes restoration assistance, remotely or on-site when requested to support first level personnel, development, testing, and production of engineering solutions in response to NAS problem reports and approved casefiles, engineering studies and alternative analysis solutions, configuration and documentation maintenance, release and control and assurance of the supportability of new systems before they become deployed into the NAS.
