NETWORK INSTALLATION AND ADMINISTRATION
Hi-Tec provides IT/Networking support such as selection and installation of new state-of-the-art technologies and environments, Internet/Intranet connectivity, network maintenance, and administration. We have also developed and deployed high-end display graphics for implementation of shipboard data distribution systems and Local Area Networks for the Navy.
APPLICATIONS PROGRAMMING AND GUI DEVELOPMENT
Our work in the R&D programs at the WJHTC and the Air Certification Service includes the development of software for prototyping of analytical tools, database management, and user interfaces to databases and computational utilities. We also provide system engineering and analysis, software requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation. Our consultation and support services supports the full life cycle of software product development. Hi-Tec has also supported the migration of legacy applications to new platforms and environments.
INFORMATION SYSTEM SECURITY (ISS)
Hi-Tec supported the FAA’s Office of Information Systems Security in the assessment of the system security functions at selected FAA Air Route Traffic Control Centers (ARTCCs). This entailed monitoring the deployment of a new, secure router configuration designed to mitigate intrusion and denial of service risks, reporting on the testing of such configuration in the laboratories and in the field, and summarizing findings and results into a comprehensive picture. Hi-Tec also ensured that compatibility between the new architectural elements and the existing National Airspace System architecture and operational procedures were addressed. Hi-Tec is supporting the design, test and implementation of ISS into the FAA's FTI program.
WEB DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE
Hi-Tec developed and implemented the Problem Report Tracking System (PRTS) for the TSA Aviation Security Lab. This secure web enabled application allowed the reporting and tracking of test issues from both the local laboratory and remote sites. This combination of secure connections and searchable databases allows for efficient problem solving without any degradation of information security.
DATABASE MANAGEMENT
Hi-Tec provides technical support to the Environmental Branch and the Aircraft and Airport Research and Development Branch at the WJHTC, which includes design, development, implementation, data mining, data analysis, and maintenance of Information Systems, Databases, and Applications Development.
