
On January 27, 2004, Hi-Tec Systems, Inc. was awarded a Multiple Areas Support Services (MASS) Engineering Support Service Area (ESSA) Contract. This IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity) contract contains provisions for multiple types of delivery orders (e.g. fixed price, cost reimbursement, T&M, etc.) and has a ten-year period of performance. The maximum ordering obligation under the MASS ESSA Contract is 500,000 hours. The contract incorporates 28 different labor categories, most of which have further gradations of skill levels, and the ability to add other categories that may be required. It also includes the ability for Hi-Tec Systems to add subcontractors as required to support each delivery order.
As a Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Business (SEDB), delivery orders under this award to Hi-Tec contribute to the FAA goals of awarding work to qualified small businesses.
