Computer Programmer C (Ref.# HT-08-015 ) * NEW!

Computer Programmer: Provides knowledge and skills required to program specified computer systems. Requires experience in C, C++, Java, html and object-oriented methodologies. In some cases, computer programmers may be required to possess knowledge of legacy languages (i.e., Jovial, ALGOL, FORTRAN, BAL, etc.) Experienced SQL programmer. Knowledge of application architecture and design, database design and programming, backend programming, application deployment, requirements analysis and task scheduling. Experienced in GUI design using HTML, JavaScript and CSS. Knowledgeable of SQL Server 2000, asp.net , Oracle databases, graphic designing, testing. Must be able to work in a team environment and adjust to changing requirements.

Bachelors degree preferred

5 years (15 without bachelors)

General office work. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel). Good organization skills. FAA or government experience desirable but not necessary.

Human Factors Specialist B (Ref.# HT-08-004 )

Supports world class air traffic control research at the William J. Hughes Technical Center . Assists the Federal Aviation Administration in research planning, design, development and verification of complex system solutions. Supports definition of requirements, integration of solutions, and assurance of compatibility. Leads others in the evaluation of customer requirements and oversees support for ongoing/future FAA Human Factors projects. Works closely with government personnel in planning future tasks, and estimating resource requirements. Performs in-depth analysis of complex systems to determine potential for further development, production, and interface with other aviation systems, as well as usefulness in the air traffic control environment. Reviews and comments on test plans and procedures; conduct test programs; prepare reports; and brief government staff on ongoing activities. Conduct interviews of government and non-government personnel in order to improve system knowledge. Oversees Human Factors projects, providing technical guidance, reviewing project status, mentoring and coaching team members. Works closely with government program personnel in planning future tasks and estimating resource requirements. Must be able to communication well with strong oral and written skills. Occasional travel or shift work may occur.

Position Type: Full Time

Education Requirements:
Masters degree in human factors, experimental psychology or industrial engineering from an accredited college or university.

Experience Requirements:
Requires a minimum of 10 years experience that demonstrates a professional knowledge of identifying system design features affecting operator and maintainer performance as well as identifying solutions involving manpower, personnel, training, and/or human factors engineering
